Al Garhoud Villa

This project reimagines a 1990’s Emirati family home through a lens of memory, meaning, and contemporary craftsmanship. The transformation honors the villa’s original spirit while thoughtfully guiding it into the present. Once the childhood home of the client, the residence carries deep emotional value, and the design approach focused on preserving its identity while elevating it for modern living.

Every element was selected with intention – from conversational seating arrangements that echo traditional Arabic gatherings to the integration of the family’s personal art collection, which acts as a cultural and emotional thread throughout the home.

Modern statement pieces are layered with heritage elements to create a harmonious dialogue between past and present. Textures, forms, and materials are allowed to speak individually while coexisting in quiet balance, resulting in interiors that feel grounded and forward-looking. The outcome is a home with a deeply personal expression of identity, where memory and innovation meet to create a renewed chapter in the family’s story.
