Masoomeh Hilal started the studio in 2018, but the thinking behind it goes back much further. Over twenty years of working within Dubai’s design industry, learning what makes a space truly work and what makes it last.
MHD began thoughtfully and intentionally so. That closeness to the work and to the people we do it for, is something we’ve held onto as the studio has grown into a full-service interior design practice taking on residential and commercial projects across the region.
At MHD, we see every project as a complete journey, thoughtful, considered, and quietly refined. We begin by listening, taking the time to understand how you live, what matters to you, and the vision you have in mind. From concept through to completion, every detail is managed with care and intention, creating a process that feels seamless and a result that feels genuinely yours.

Founder & Creative Director
Masoomeh Hilal’s design journey is shaped by places, cultures, and the stories they hold. Having called Dubai home for over 20 years, both her personal and professional life are deeply rooted in a city that thrives on diversity, ambition, and creative evolution. It is here that her family grew, and where her design voice found clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Years of living and working within such a dynamic, multicultural environment have shaped a global perspective that continues to inform her work. This has instilled in her a deep appreciation for authenticity and a belief that meaningful design should carry a sense of time, place, and soul. Travel remains an essential source of inspiration through architecture, interiors, art, and the quiet details of everyday life that give spaces their character.
Guided by curiosity and a lifelong connection to art and design, Masoomeh began with a background in Textile Design, where she developed a deep appreciation for materiality and craftsmanship, later expanding her practice through Interior Design to create cohesive, considered spaces. After some years of experience collaborating with respected designers, MH Design was founded.
At MH Design, Masoomeh leads with intention and integrity. Each project is approached as a personal narrative carefully layered, timeless in spirit, and reflective of the people it is created for. Working with her is not simply about design, but about shaping environments that feel authentic, enduring, and quietly elegant.

Thais Machado
Senior Interior Architect & Project Manager
Thaís, our passionate Brazilian Senior Interior Architect & Project Manager with a civil engineering background and over seven years of experience. She brings her creative vision to spaces, balancing beauty, functionality, and personal expression.
Based in Dubai, her multicultural experience shapes a fresh, thoughtful approach grounded in both aesthetics and technical expertise. Outside the studio, she draws inspiration from different fields, such as travel, fashion, and nature, believing that well-designed spaces directly impact the way we live and connect.
Raquel Melo Figueiredo
Senior Interior Architect & Project Manager
Raquel, our creative Senior Interior Architect & Project Manager from Portugal, with a master’s degree in architecture, over 8 years of professional experience in the field and a lifelong passion for Interior Design. She creates thoughtful, story-driven spaces that connect with people on a deeper level.
Having traded Portugal's scenic views for Dubai's exciting urban landscape, she brings fresh ideas and a creative edge to every project. Beyond her professional life, Raquel is often traveling, volunteering or behind the camera, fueling the imagination she brings into every space she designs.
Mohammad Thaslim
Architectural Draftsman & 3D Specialist
Thaslim is our expert Architectural Draftsman & 3D Specialist with over 7 years of experience, known for turning complex drawings into standout visual stories. Passionate about how design shapes the way we think and feel, he brings both precision and creativity to every project.
When he’s not deep in project execution, Thaslim is out exploring, camera in hand, capturing moments, exploring new corners of the world, and drawing inspiration that keeps his work fresh, dynamic, and full of life.
Vridhi Gurbani
Interior Designer and FF&E Specialist
Vridhi, our skilled Interior Designer and FF&E Specialist with 4 years of experience and a serious love for all things creative. For her, interior and spatial design is where art and imagination come together to shape meaningful spaces.
By carefully understanding each requirement she is able to piece together designs that feel personal and perfectly tailored to our clients. In her downtime, Vridhi is out exploring spaces in her own way, either café hopping, discovering new cuisines, or blowing off steam through painting.

Meet Carla, our Administrative Coordinator. With over eight years of experience, Carla is the powerhouse behind our smooth day-to-day operations. Organized, reliable, and cool under pressure, she keeps everything on track - from schedules to communication - with effortless precision.
Through her background in fast-paced environments, she brings a proactive mindset and sharp problem-solving skills to the team. Off the clock, Carla enjoys quality time with her husband and daughter, bringing the same warmth and balance she’s known for at work.
